The Menzies Cabernet Sauvignon

$58.00

We often find it very hard to fault any of the wines produced under the illustrious Yalumba banner. An amazing selection of vineyards coupled with a winemaking team that ranks as one of the finest, translate to wines of tremendous character, charm and elegance. Cleary one of our finest examples and ffering amazing value, this truly highlights the expression of Coonawarra cabernet from the legendary Terra Rossa Strip. Rich, dense and concentrated it cleanly displays classic black current, cassis and cedar with a touch mint and spice, finishing super fine and elegant with great length.Full depth in colour with a plum red hue. The bouquet leads with violet and lilac floral notes to the tangy counterpoint of Seaspray and pepper. The palate is rich and powerful; red fruits and dark chocolate on a robust tannin framework. The finish is long, complex and well worth contemplating. A char-grilled rib-eye on the bone is an excellent food accompaniment.
