WINERY INFORMATION Stonecroft produces premium organic wines that are intense fruit forward and elegantly styled The estate is currently owned and managed by Dermot McCollum and Andria Monin Andria oversees the marketing and business development activities of the company while Dermot heads the inemaking team Before taking over the Stonecroft winery Dermot worked vintages in Burgundy Waiheke Island and Hawke rsquo s Bay nbsp TASTING NOTES The grapes used to craft this pretty Crofters Syrah were hand harvested fermented in stainless steel fermenters and then aged in barrel and tank This led to the creation of a deep ruby red coloured wine lined by dark hues The aromatic bouquet exhibits scents of black fruit pepper and cinnamon This delightful Syrah is rich and intense on the palate brimming with black fruit flavours of raspberry plum and black cherry coupled with hints of nutmeg and cedar These vibrant characters end the wine in a long and satisfying finale This wonderful Syrah has a cellaring potential of 2 to 3 years and pairs best with roasted fillet of beef and a medium rare rack of lamb nbsp
