WINERY INFORMATION As one of the most consistent and successful wine producers in Central Otago Rockburn continues to impress wine lovers with their winning formula Through the years Rockburn and its renowned winemaker Malcolm Rees-Francis have produced wines of premium quality enchanting wine overs across the globe with their flavoursome and succulent wines TASTING NOTES Rockburn s Pinot Noir Ten Barrels is blended from two clones Clone 5 and Clone 6 planted next to each other It displays a dark ruby red colour with light purple hues on the rim The delicate nose is tightly bound with subtle fragrances of dark red cherry fruit interlaced with cool-spectrum herbal nuances It also offers a superbly aromatic surge of violets and berry fruits forming a dense core with a blend of savoury herbs earth and minerals all leading to a long and lingering finish with fine dry textures An elegant and medium bodied wine the classical Pinot Noir Ten Barrels sweetness is balanced by supple fine-grained tannins and boosted by pungent acidity Characterised as a sleek and easy drinking red varietal the 2012 vintage is one for the cellar and will taste best served with poultry and pork over the next five to six years nbsp
