WINERY INFORMATION Owner Jason Brown founded Moppity Vineyards in 2004 After looking throughout Australia for an ideal location Jason and his wife Alecia acquired the perfect vineyard site in Hilltops Southern NSW As a skilled winemaker Jason firmly believes that it is a winemaker rsquo s job o truly express the terroir characteristics of the vineyard while still presenting his signature winemaking style TASTING NOTES The premium fruit used to create this delightful Reserve Shiraz was cold soaked and transferred to open fermenters The juice was then fermented for 12 days followed by maturation in French hogsheads and puncheons The wine showcases a purple red colour The attractive bouquet exudes intense fragrances of ripe berries Asian spices and florals Supple tannins integrate with the dense palate which contains flavours of peppery spice as well as red and black fruits The finish is long textured and lingering Moppity Lock amp Key Reserve Shiraz perfectly matches foods like braised pork shoulder stewed tomatoes and sharp Cheddar cheese
