Rum is blended into this tawny which increases the alcohol in the product but gives different aromatics to the nose compared to normal tawny’s and more complex and smoother palate. Lifted spicy characters of nutmeg an burnt caramel with the Caribbean spice rum flavors evident. A warming smooth palate with the sweet caramel and homemade toffee flavors to the fore. The spicy Rum characters combine with the raisins and dried fruit flavours of the tawny to make a complex and mellow finish to the product.
