The Massenez family started distilling in Alsace in the 1870s. Credited for being the first to distill wild raspberries the distillery became famous for capturing the essence of fruit in its purest form. True to the original liqueur created in Saumur in the mid 1800s using peels of the bitter curaa orange and other citrus fruits this is a far cry from the generic artificially flavoured triple secs out there.
