WINERY INFORMATION Named after winemaker Mark Gilbert rsquo s six-year old daughter Sophie Sophie rsquo s Hill is a lush and premium vineyard located in Meadows one of the highest altitude sites of the Adelaide Hills wine region It was established in 1996 by Mark with the aim to produce small bach single vineyard wines using fruits sourced from their vineyards in Adelaide Hills as well as Langhorne Creek TASTING NOTES The grapes used to craft Sophie rsquo s Hill Pinot Grigio were fermented in old French oak barriques and subjected to partial malolactic fermentation The resulting wine displays a pale copper hue and exudes juicy aromas and flavours of pear grapefruit green apple and chamomile These complex flavours are supported by a refreshing acid backbone offering a soft and generous mouthfeel and culminating in a delicate and captivating finish This vibrant Pinot Grigio tastes wonderful with bruschetta grilled fruits hot chili prawns and Italian pasta salad nbsp
