WINERY INFORMATION The Hogshead wine range is an exquisite collection of bold intense and full-bodied wines created by the collaboration of two reputed South Australian winemakers - Jim Zerella and Corey Ryan The winemaking team uses premium grapes harvested from old vineyards in Langhorne Creek McLaren Vale and Barossa Valley to craft these flavoursome wines Each wine was aged in 300-litre hogshead barrels to enhance its complexity and flavour profile TASTING NOTES Hogshead Chardonnay is a pale straw hued wine showing yellow tints The perfumed nose exudes lifted scents of melons and stone fruits with creamy oak hints lurking in the background The bold palate contains melon and white peach flavours supported by light suggestions of toasty oak These magnificent characters are balanced by fresh acidity offering a rich and soft mouthfeel to the palate This enticing Chardonnay ends in a delicate and dry finale It can be enjoyed on its own or served with seafood and white meat preparations nbsp
