WINERY INFORMATION After working for 13 years in the Australian Army Jason Barrette rsquo s interest in wine propelled during a visit to European battlefields In 2005 Jason retired from the military and completed his Bachelor in Oenology degree from Adelaide University He started his winemakingcareer with Penfolds Wines at Magill Estate under the guidance of Chief Winemaker Peter Gago As Director of Winemaking Jason ensures that a perfect balance of elegance intensity and structure is maintained throughout the wine TASTING NOTES Crafted in Spanish crianza style Caudillo Tempranillo features a stunning cherry red colour The attractive bouquet is perfumed with raspberry and cherry aromas with cinnamon and Turkish delight hints following close behind Savoury tannins combine with vibrant flavours of black and red fruits to present a luscious palate eventually culminating the wine in a bright and long finish This wonderful Tempranillo has the potential to be cellared for 4 to 8 years from vintage It is a great food accompaniment to charcuterie burritos and Cheddar cheese nbsp
