WINERY INFORMATION Vineyard Foster e Rocco is the collaboration of two friends Adam Foster amp Lincoln Riley who have undertaken a project to make wines that they want to drink approachable accessible and above all food friendly Having spent many years working in restaurants as sommeliers boh individuals understand the role food and wine plays in uniting people through engaging their senses Winemaking The traditional and original nbsp expression of our nbsp Foster e Rocco Sangiovese is treated with a 10-month stay in 100 mature French oak It is then held back for a further 18 months longer than the Nuovo Exactly the same winemaking process has taken place to that of the unoaked expression and although the wines have similarities they have developed their own personalities TASTING NOTES Intense bright crimson raspberry in appearance Fragrant cherry dried red currant and sage savoury tobacco aromas are nbsp supported with floral spice and anise accents A medium bodied complex palate that is multi-layered with varietal cherry fruit and savoury earthly notes that are kept in check by youthful acid and detailed fine long tannins
