WINERY INFORMATION Located in the cool maritime climate of South Australia s Fleurieu Peninsula Finniss River Vineyard was bought in 2014 by the current owners The vineyard excels in high quality grapes that aptly characterise the terroir of the Currency Creek region Finniss River is also the clsest cellar door to the beach in Australia TASTING NOTES The elegant Finniss River Chardonnay flaunts a light straw colour This crisp and clear wine opens with fruity aromas of ripe grapefruit and guava with a note of bush honey evident in the backdrop Its refreshing palate is full of citrus flavours of lemon complemented by hints of pineapple and early season white peaches The crisp and light acidity is balanced by the buttery mouthfeel This luscious and complex Chardonnay wine can either be enjoyed young or cellared for 3 years It tastes best when paired with pork salmon or any vegetarian salad
