WINERY INFORMATION Cake Wines is a relatively new wine business started by young wine lovers Mike Smith and Glen Cassidy along with winemaking friends ndash Sarah and Tim Burvill Now joined by a growing number of young wine enthusiasts this boutique winery brings together a team with a collecive love for wine culture Grapes for Cake Wines are mostly sourced from Adelaide Hills but the brand does not craft wines with a one size fits all approach TASTING NOTES The premium fruit parcels used for this wonderful Cabernet Sauvignon were obtained from lush vines planted in the vineyards of Adelaide Hills Showcasing a dark red colour with purple hues throughout the wine exudes vibrant eucalypt fragrances and earthy notes from its perfumed bouquet These aromas effortlessly shift to a lush and fruity palate containing flavours of blackcurrant plum and aniseed These magnificent characters culminate in a fruit driven and lingering finish Drink it with braised beef short ribs garlic chicken wings or porcini mushroom phyllo cup to appreciate its lovely flavours to the fullest
