WINERY INFORMATION Bethany Wines is one of the oldest wineries in the Barossa Valley region crafting premium and elegantly styled wines The company was established by fifth generation winemaking brothers Geoff and Robert Schrapel in the year 1981 They founded Bethany Estate with a vision to crete wines that truly reflect the unique terroir characteristics of the region nbsp TASTING NOTES The fruit used to produce Bethany Cabernet Merlot was picked from 40 year old grapevines It is a fusion of 50 Cabernet Sauvignon grapes with 50 Merlot grapes This black cherry hued wine displays a deep red rim The perfumed bouquet exudes complex aromas of berries coupled with oak overtones and light spicy notes These berry and oak characters are replicated on the pleasing palate where they are supported by soft tannins This delightful Cab Merlot ends in a refreshing finish Crafted for consumption upon release this wonderful red wine can also be cellared for 5 to 10 years from vintage Drink it with roast beef rich pasta dishes or Aussie meat pie to fully appreciate its enticing flavour profile nbsp
